1.Description
Jianxi Xinghuo Organiosilicon Plant has a great deal of products in the field of silicone rubber and silicone fluid . For example , waterproof agent 1# , 2# and 3# etc. are already developed and widely applied as waterproof method like in roof and wall surface , express way and cultural antique protection and oil-well drilling.
To expand furthermore the serial waterproof agents, the Works wishes to develop the product SI/PAK compound emulsion for outlayer coating use , which typically functions as waterproof, dust-resistance, weather-resistance and color-refreshing for outlayers of building. With the development of our national enterprise for high building and non-movable assets , the outlayer coating for building will hold a prosperous developing future.
2. Property and Application
Compounded in a certain way the polymer materials which have different chemical structure and property and compensate each other with superior ones, PAK has its main chain to be a saturated structure with C-C bonds and its sided chain to be polar groups. Therefore , it has the property of superior heat resistance, anti- oxidization , weather resistance and outstanding oil resistance and good adhesive force to surface polar or non-polar. However, because its sided chain is of polar groups, the materials of these kinds show inferior property of cold resistance and water resistance and poor electricity insulation.
On the other side contrasted to PAK , SI has its main chain to be siloxane bond which is higher in bond energy and longer in bond length than C-C bond , and thus has remarkable flexibility and high-low temperature resistance.And because the surface tension of polydimethylsiloxane is only 21-22 m N/M (while PAK is 3 - 5 m N/m), It has less friction coefficient and better water resistance. Howerver the inter molecular force of polydimethylsiloxane is weak and the density of cohesive energy is low, the cohesiveness to metal, rubber and plastics etc is not so good and the cost is much higher than PAK . Therefore, the problem concerned a lot by most people is how to compound these two kings of high molecular material to form a mew one with the superior property that they both have . The compound SI/PAK with multiplied structure as random , graft co-polymerigation block and etc and superior property have been make by the methods of co-polymerigation and concurrent merging , which are widely applied in fields of rubber , plastics, coating , adhesives and functional latex etc . Especially in the field of outlayer coating for building , this new type of coating will become the developing tendency for its superior properity .

Copolymerigation in reaction tank to produce graft copolymerigation block compound to make the coating.
